My internship

For my internship i went to the YMCA and worked in the Mezzanine it was educating. I learned alot and that helped me better understand what i want to do for my internship. I went in the internship not knowing any parts of the inside of the computer and came out knowing the whole inside of a computer, now i know mostly the whole inside of a computer and how to rebuild one.

Friday 13th

Friday the 13th was very interesting at school. I was one of the first people to be in the class and Fossum wasn't there that day. Batcho was in charge to replace her for the day! I hear Eltie and Amber arguing then i went back to doing work! Then i see Eltie go sit on Amber's desk and just glanced over then I see Eltie swinging at Amber and Jasmine goes to try and break it up then Batcho comes in and tries then Batcho yells "Klanica!" Then they all break it up and Zinga walks in and says, "Let's go guys!" Then after that everybody was arguing all day. It was a crazy day you knew at school it was friday the 13th!

Visit at Library

We went to the library as a class about a month ago and had to look up books on our topic. That took me a few minutes to find since i had the books in mind that i wanted to look at and they were right next to each other on the shelves. I had alot of time left before we left the library to go to our internships. During my free time I had to finish my webliography.

Today in class...

Well in my internship im taking a class on how to rebuild computers so I had taken notes on words people wouldn't understand without the definition. So i already had a list of key terms so all I had to do was type up my notes paper! That's what I did today in my Grad Project Class.

BIOS- basic in/out system

FORMAT- makes the computer file writeable

Burn In- start computer after setup and keep on for 72 hours so if there is an electrical failure with the computer it will show up in the 72 hours

IDE- Intergraded drive electronics

CPU- Central Processing Unit

RAM- random access memory

SCSI (skuzzy)- small computer system interface

Refurbish- restore something to good repair

Cache memory- RAM

CMOS Battery- battery that includes fdisk and system boot setup

Defragmenter- software utility that rearranges the fragments or discontinuous parts of each file stored on a computer hard disk so that the small, empty storage spaces adjacent to fragments can be used, effectively creating new storage space and possibly making file access faster.
